Letter to baby from Uncle James

BG- Here is my blessing for you.  May you always know that you are a child of the King.  He knew you before you were born.  You were prayed for and loved before you were born.  Before anyone knew who you were or what you would become, God had already decided that you were his, and he never makes mistakes.  You may make some mistakes in your life.  We all have.  But know that there is nothing you can do to make him stop loving you, chasing after you, and showing you that he truly loves you.  May you fully experience that life of freedom knowing that you don't have to live for anyone's approval.  You already have all the approval you would ever need from Him.  You have been bought at a price.  A price that we probably will never truly appreciate.  Live in the joy and freedom of that knowledge.

We pray that you will be surrounded by friends and family that accept you for who you are and who you will be.  We pray that you will have friends that are a blessing to you, that they will point you toward God and that you will be pointing them towards God.  As Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend."  We hope that God provides you with lots of "iron-ic" friends to be sharpened against.

We also pray that everything you do will glorify God.  Know that He made you and that he has a purpose for your life.  Seek him and he will help you find that purpose.  It may be a long and winding path, through several countries, careers, or friends but know that he has the map and he knows where you are going.  Trust him to guide you.
